Here you will find a short description of each type of Visa and the benefits that best meets your needs. All Visa processes, has to be handle by an attorney and its legal staff.

THE TOURIST PENSIONER VISA
It's issued for those who receive a monthly income from retirement funds such as: Social Security, Government retirement or private corporation retirement. The Panamanian Government has established USD500.00 or more and USD100.00 additional for each dependant. T his visa does not qualify to acquire the Panamanian nationality, but it has benefits in the importation of duties (one-time exemption for the importation of household goods (up to USD10,000), and an exemption every two years of duties for the importation of a car)

PRIVATE INCOME RETIREE VISA
This visa is for persons who don't have a monthly pension, are no longer working, and have received a retirement lump sum. As a visa requirement; the deposit should be around USD220,000.00 and the money has to be deposited on a five year certificate in the National Bank of Panama and yield the Panamanian Government USD750.00. The visa is renewable every five years, as long as the certificate deposit is renewed. This visa has the benefit to get a Panamanian passport and one-time exemption for the importation of household goods (up to USD10,000), and an exemption every two years of duties for the importation of a car.

PERSON OF MEANS VISA
Designed for those who wish to live in Panama on their own means, without the need to work or start a business. The person must have a two year certificate of deposit in any local bank of at least USD.200,000. Five years after obtaining the permanent visa, holders will be eligible to apply for Panamanian nationality and the right to have the local identity.

INVESTOR VISA
This visa is designed for those who wish to establish a business in Panama . There must be a minimum investment of USD150, 000 and minimum of three permanent Panamanian employees hired and working in the business. Five years after obtaining the permanent visa, holders will be eligible to apply for Panamanian nationality and the right to have the local identity.

SMALL BUSSINESS INVESTOR VISA
This visa is designed for those who wish to establish a business in Panama . There must be a minimum investment of USD 40,000 and minimum of three permanent Panamanian employees hired and working in the business. Five years after obtaining the permanent visa, holders will be eligible to apply for Panamanian nationality and the right to have the local identity.

FORESTRY INVESTOR VISA (AT THIS MOMENT IS BEING REVISED)
This visa is designed for those who wish to make long term investments in reforestation. There must be a minimum investment of USD40,000. This investment must be kept until final harvest (approximately 20 years). Five years after obtaining the permanent visa, holders will be eligible to apply for Panamanian nationality and the right to have the local identity
